Bio

I am a dependable and experienced LPN with a bias for action and results. I have experience supervising and leading team mates in both the civilian and military communities. My wife and I will be relocating to the greater Jacksonville, FL metro area this summer. My background is primarily in nursing; however, I would be open to challenging myself to other opportunities that would be a good match for me.

Military Experiences

Nov 1998 - Nov 2003
MALS-13
Sergeant
Worked in the avionics division as a technician. Volunteered for deployment for OIF. Most memorable moment in the USMC: Going to Iwo Jima in 2002. I have a picture of me on the beach with Mt. Suribachi clearly in the background. Coincidentally, just a few months prior before deploying with the 31st MEU where I was onboard the USS Essex, I read the book Flags of our Fathers. I also served in the Army Reserves from Dec 2006-Dec 2014. I was an LPN in a medical unit in Lexington, KY.

Deployments

(5 months)
Jan 2003 - May 2003
Iraq ribbon
Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF)
While deployed for OIF, I was serving in the USMC. My job was as an avionics technician. I was onboard the USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6), which was part of a task force that departed from San Diego in support of OIF.
