Active Duty U.S. Navy Assignment - LCPO At Sea Engineering Department Administrative Assistant. Maintained planning calendar for Chief Engineer. Managed/supervised 10 personnel in general administrative/personnel support of over 350 Officer, Chief Petty Officer, and enlisted personnel assigned. Oversaw countles administrative, personnel, and career counseling actions to include over 800 evaluations, fitness reports, and individual awards, all with a 100% "on time" delivery! Technical expert, relied upon to provide timely guidance and advice to subordinates, peers, and seniors alike. Stood duty as Engineering Duty Chief Petty Officer, responsible for the operation of the Department after hours and on weekends and holidays. Directed all casualty control efforts against fire, flooding, radiological controls emergencies, and security violations. One of the first non-engineers to qualify on the senior enlisted Engineering watch station, I was counted on to always make the right decision under any circumstance. I designed a comprehensive, second-to-none profesisonal training program for Engineering Department admin personnel; this program was selected for command-wide implementation, and resulted in a significant increase of scores on advancement exams.
