I served in the Army National Guard for a total of 6 years. I enlisted into the Michigan Guard and then transferred to the Georgia Guard. In 2010 I deployed to Afghanistan with the 277th SMC of the Georgia National Guard. I was stationed at FOB Gamberi and taught 91B to the Afghan Army.
