Started out to be an electrician... then a phone man. Enlisted to see if they could get my AFSC with one of the two but “needs if the business” Uncle Sam said Munitions is the job for you! After getting out went back to being a telephone man. After I retired from that did same job at a college, which I enjoyed the most.
Military Experiences

Ammunition NCO
Did various jobs on new and experimental weapons and explosives. Work a 24 on 48 off shift only time off was emergency leave. Delivered items to over 80 miles of the number of “Fields” which were 8 at that time. Didn’t realize they had scorpions there till we had the engine overheat in our 1/2 ton delivery vehicle, in the middle of nowhere! Had to mayday to base that were were Down as I tried to put water in the radiator and the cap popped off burning my arm.
