Lieutenant Colonel David A. Rababy was born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for over 27 years. He enlisted in September 1977 and was commissioned a second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in 1983. During his military career, Colonel Rababy deployed into combat during Operations Desert Shield and Storm, (Kuwait), Operation Restore Hope in Somalia and OIF.
