Bio
I am essentially retired. I became unable to work full time in 1987 and last worked regularly in 1995. I'm not looking for employment or education. I'm here to offer what little I've learned in the past 40 years about being a female disabled veteran.
So I went to College. The physically demanding major I started with was too hard on my injuries and the strange autoimmune symptoms I'd developed. I kept downgrading the physicality of my major until I downgraded myself out of school after my I'd used up my 99% of my GI Bill.
My areas of study were Agriculture, Mechanics, History, Education, and Social Work.

Automotive Maintenance Technician
In those ancient days, we worked on both wheels and tracks. My specialty was changing out clutches in 2 1/2 ton trucks so school trained truck drivers could ride them back to me for replacement in less than 6k miles.
I was the third female in my shop. It was an adventure.
