What is the timeline for getting AMEDD Direct Commission Orders? Will I get a swearing in ceremony and when should I tell my employer?

I am extremely excited that I was selected for direct commission AMEDD MSC. I was notified late OCT 2024 of selection. So far, I have filled out some paperwork including the contract and I have a few questions that I was hoping to get some insight about:
1) How long it generally takes to receive orders as I am most curious about when I will be attending AMEDD DCC/BOLC. It looks like there are DCC start dates of FEB, JUL, and SEP 2025. Not sure if I will be able to have all of the paperwork done in time for FEB but I sure hope so.
2) Will I get to attend a swearing in ceremony? Or is this something that takes place during training.
3) When should I tell my current employer that I was selected? I want to give them ample time but I am hesitant about the huge gap of time between starting DCC in FEB versus JUL or SEP.

So, your timeline can range from 'quick' to 'are you kidding me!' because it moves at the speed of a bureaucracy.
The longest part after the board is the scrolling process, but you said you already signed your contract, so that indicates you're just waiting on your orders at this point. As to your swearing in ... I'm slightly confused as you should have been administered an oath of office when you completed your paperwork after being notified.
Once you've been notified of your selection and signed your contract, HRC has to put you into a seat for the DCC and your follow-on BOLC-B. For some the delay between the board notification and attending the DCC was over a year while others attended in a few months. It's all going to depend on how fast that packet moves and the availability of seats.
Bottom line is that you are playing the most common pastime in the military - the waiting game. I would definitely hold off on telling your employer until you know the timeframe you're working with.
I just gave a run-down of the DCC and BOLC-B to another member*. They were DCCed as a Nurse and not one the specialist and not one of the "65s"
Keep in regular contact with your AMEDD recruiter (once every few weeks should be often enough without getting to the point they stop answering your calls) as they will have the most updated information
If you don't have one already, I suggest you get your CAC (Common Access Card .. i.e., your military ID) and update your information in the Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS ... the 'eligibility database' that feeds pretty much every other system in the military regarding who you and your family are).
Assuming you've been fed into the system by HRC already, then you should be able to go to a RAPIDS* site (i.e., the 'ID card office') and get one.
On that previous post I mentioned, if you dig through the links I gave to the DCC and the BOLC-B courses, you'll find some prereqs you can start working on now (again, if you have your CAC) so you won't feel a 'crunch' later.

When I PCS, should I sell or rent my house in Houston? Also, should I get housing on or off base?...
I am awaiting DCC/BOLC dates. Going to active duty and knowing I will PCS right out of BOLC, want to set the ball rolling on my family plans! Still unsure what to do with my (wife and 1 child) house in Houston. I am hoping to get Ft. Cavazos, is it advisable to get a shared room and commute while my family stay back in Houston? The other location I lowkey love is Walter Reed - AOC is 66S. Ft. Cavazos vs W. Reed! Which one is a better option?...

I may have incorrectly stated some minor but important details:
1) I have signed a document listed as "Statement for Commissioning AMEDD Officer - Active Duty" or at least that was the line at the top of the document. I have been working with a non-local AMEDD recruiter (referral), so maybe that adds a wrench into things.
2) My branch will be Medical Service Corps (71A).

MAJ Ronnie Reams
MSC can also be Medical Specialist Corps. Same abbreviation, different branch insignia and different jobs.
