SSG(P) (Join to see) - PT is scheduled every Mon Wed and Fri, but we havent done it in a while. since PT is an early day they want you to get sleep before tests...Well we pretty much test every day and by the time you get to critical care your basically on clinicals the entire time.

Hey SSG, I am an nationally registered paramedic. I’m stationed here at JBSA right now for 68w AIT, I have heard different things about putting in a packet for the flight medic program but I was wondering if you know anything about apply right out of AIT and how I would go about that. I appreciate any info.

We have had a few medics get chosen directly out of AIT for the course and they were not paramedics. I have two flight paramedics in my company that came in just like you with their NRP and came straight to the aviation side. When do you graduate? I can look into more to try and pull you over.

Good morning MSG, I am an aspiring 68W out of Arizona and was curious about the process necessary to find myself eventually moving into a flight paramedic position. My question to you is: what does this process from start to finish typically tend to look like for someone who goes the National Guard or Army Reserve route? Upon reaching AIT would I express interest in this schooling, or is this something that I must wait a certain period of time to find myself in? Working as a flight nurse/flight medic is my long-term civilian career goal and I'm curious to know how this can aid in that. Thank you for your time!
