DutiesPerforms a variety of non-invasive ultrasound and doppler tests, such as upper/lower extremity arterial, venous studies, segmental pressures, neck studies. cervical studies, abdominal cavity studies, and cardiac studies.
Employs high resolution imaging, pulsed Doppler with gray scale spectrum, high resolution simultaneous 2-D imaging, 3-D imaging, and Power Doppler.
Interviews patients to obtain medical and vascular history.
Communicates with ordering provider to ensure appropriate testing is completed.
Assists intraoperative with intraoperative ultrasound and intravascular ultrasound.
Explains methods of procedure, positions patient for the requested examination.
Correlates data gathered from non-invasive testing with data from prior non-invasive studies as well as invasive studies.
Identifies artifacts and abnormalities and adjust procedure to produce high quality and accurate studies.
Notifies supervisor or referring physicians of results of tests and provides them with preliminary diagnostic evaluation.
Stocks and maintains adequate levels of supplies for the Vascular Lab, including vascular lab report forms and general office supplies.
Sets up, maintains, and cleans-up of all medical machines used in the Vascular Laboratory.
Works with patients who are seriously ill and those who have varying degrees of physical disabilities and medical problems.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Plus on call
