Job Description:
JOB DUTIES
Executive Director of Clinical Operations manages the program's daily operations including program development, implementation and integration, overall program scheduling, daily operational activities, and provider communication and training. As detailed below, this position provides specific support to the Medical Director, the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA), the clinical research team, and the educational team. The position is responsible for aligning the Institute activities with the policies and procedures of the department, and University, assuring compliance with those policies. The Executive Director of Clinical Operations will provide operational analysis needed for clinical management and strategic program decisions, assist with developing program analysis and recommendations in conjunction with the DFA, and support and help aggregate program reports. This position will report to the Medical Director and provide recommendations for clinical operations optimization (programmatic schedule changes, provider training and development, patient population profile). The duties of this position are primarily administrative. The Executive Director of Clinical Operations also represents the program within the University of Florida, and provides essential communication and networking for effective functioning with internal departments and external organizations relating to veterans.
Essential Functions
• Background and experience with the veterans population.Plan, create and adjust the programmatic schedule with regard to evaluations and treatment.
• Oversee patient flow from intake through evaluation, IOP and follow‐up. Assist with design and implementation of health promotion and disease prevention interventions.
• Analysis of programmatic data and research metrics related to clinical operations to maximize program efficiencies and growth.
• Facilitates and promotes clinical staff development and training, and provides orientation to faculty and staff as needed; Provides leadership for the development of clinical staffing patterns for the successful accomplishment of programmatic processes.
• Manages development and implementation of conferences; Coordinate and collaborate with faculty in the educational program to maximize their impact both internal and external.
• Leads program implementation and integration initiatives including initial vetting of new clinical programming ideas.
• Ongoing development of Standard Operating Procedures and Policies in close collaboration with relevant members of leadership.
• Works with members of the clinical and administration team to integrate aspects of the clinical programming; Collaborates with Behavioral Health providers through the development of family/care giver program development.
• Works closely with the administration team to ensure smooth work flow with clinicians; Plan, coordinate and execute Special Projects as deemed by leadership.
• Responsible for coordination of employees leave requests as they relate to clinical care and coverage. Will report directly to Medical Director in these matters; Assume supervisory responsibilities for clinical personnel, as assigned by Medical Director.

Experience Requirements
5 years required-The position requires extensive, diverse and progressively responsible experience at the management level, including direct responsibility for clinical operations and program scheduling.
3 years required-Experience in program development with an interdisciplinary model of care, including integrative medicine.
7 years preferred-Experience developing programmatic policies and procedures.
Experience with clinical program development, implementation and management to include scheduling, data analysis, and staffing patterns.
Experience with staff training and development.
1 year required-This position will require the employee to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) for duties related to provider credentialing, complaints and grievances, claims issues, Medical Management issues, and risk and compliance issues. Access to the PHI contained in the claims, Medical Management, and provider credentialing systems is necessary for this staff member.
Up to 1 year preferred-Background and experience with the veterans population and Traumatic Brain Injury is highly encouraged.
Education Requirements
Masters in nursing, human services, psychology, counseling, social work, public health, healthcare administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution required
Doctorate and/or licensed professional in health care related fields such as; nursing, human services, psychology, counseling, social work, public health, healthcare administration, or a directly related field from an accredited institution prefered
