FOR MUCH OF EASTERN NEW MEXICO DUE TO VERY STRONG WINDS...

.A vigorous storm system and associated cold front will sweep
from west to east over northern and central New Mexico Sunday.
Very strong to damaging downslope winds may result in drier
humidities than predicted with fine fuels supportive of carrying
fire.

THROUGH SUNDAY EVENING...

* AREA AND TIMING...Northeast Plains (zone 104), East Central
Plains (zone 126), Northeast Highlands (zone 123) and Central
Highlands (zone 125).

* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts to 60 to 70
mph.

* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Around 20 to 25 percent although very
strong winds are expected to result in lower humidities.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...West winds 40 to 50 mph with gusts of 65 to 75 mph possible.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central,
northeast, and southeast New Mexico.

* WHEN...From Sunday morning through late Sunday night.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
Power outages are possible. Damage may occur to mobile homes,
roofs, sheds, barns, outbuildings, and fences. Travel could be
difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Areas of blowing
dust may created reduced visibility.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A brief period of blowing snow creating
reduced visibility is possible in the Sacramento mountains,
central highlands, and east slopes of the Sangre de Cristo
Mountains Sunday afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the latest forecasts and warnings for updates.

Take action to secure trash cans, lawn furniture, and other loose or
lightweight outdoor objects. Hazardous driving conditions can be
expected, especially for motorists in high profile vehicles who

It was 19 degrees today in Eastern Massachusetts and We got about an inch of snow, I did go to both the Base Exchange and Commissary at Hanscom AFB, MA though before the snow started.
