APS-TD is seeking a Mechanical Superconducting Radio Frequency (SRF) Technician II to support SRF cavity processing, processing facility maintenance, ultra-high vacuum system operation and maintenance, cleanroom infrastructure operation, and SRF component assembly.
Under general supervision and based on journeyman-level expertise, general experience, and/or academic study, the selected candidate will provide moderately sophisticated technical support for an area of assignment, typically an experimental or support group. Depending on the area of assignment, may fabricate, set-up, calibrate, operate, test, repair, and modify a variety of moderately sophisticated electrical-electronic and/or mechanical equipment, systems, and devices.
You Will:
Handle particle-free flange assembly (PFFA) work in MP9 Cleanroom, Cavity Processing Lab (CPL) and Superconducting Surface Preparation Facility (SCSPF).
Operate ultra-high vacuum (UHV) high-temperature ovens and thin-film coating chambers.
Assemble SRF devices in ISO Class 4 cleanroom environment
Handle chemicals (acids/bases)
Operate and maintain UHV systems.
Work with scientific, engineering, and technical team on SRF research, development, and production activities.

We Are Looking For:
High school graduate or Associate degree in relevant subject area
2+ years UHV and ISO4 clean room experience is required
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Ability to work in a team environment
Experience in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
