Unsettled West; Summer-Like Heat and Severe Storms in the Plains

An active weather pattern in the West will bring locally heavy
rain to lower elevations and locally heavy snow in the higher
elevations. As these systems interact with the building heat
and humidity in the Plains, severe storms may develop.

Primary threats from these storms will be large hail and
damaging winds. Dry, gusty winds in the Southwest are
keeping fire weather HIGH.
