I wonder how long it will take ISIS to destroy this new Christian university?
These Christian leaders are brave to build this "Christian" university and advertise it. Their Christians are putting their lives in jeopardy. They are like most believers. They are putting their safety in Gods hands, and turning it over to Him. I know I will receive a lot of flack for my Christian attitude about this, so go for it. There will be more believers than non believers, expressing their thoughts.

In an effort to persuade Iraqi Christians not to flee their homeland, local Church officials have opened a new Catholic university in Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, which Erbil Archbishop Bashar Warda has called “a way of fighting back against Islamic State.”
The university is a statement that “we are not going to go away,” he said.
The new university—the first Catholic university in the city—opened its doors on December 8, the Catholic feast of the Immaculate Conception and the beginning of the Jubilee Year of Mercy. Classes began on Friday, December 11, with 96 courses in biblical and theological studies attended by some 300 students. A number of these are refugees from nearby Mosul and the surrounding areas.

Thanks SGT (Join to see) we know that scripture tells us that God always leaves a remnant of the faithful as he told the prophets of old. Whether or not ISIL destroys the buildings of this "Christian" university. ISIS and their muslim allies are powerless and ineffectual against God whom they mock by following the Koran instead of the Bible. The church will triumph and will include members of every tribe and tongue.

LTC Stephen F., That's why I wrote these Christians are brave knowing it is God's hands after they turned it over to Him.

Amen & Alleluia! I look at those whom ISIS has already martyred because of the Faith & I seek their prayers. I pray for strength, lest I should, in fear for my life, "offer incense" to the Emperor. I know I'm not strong physically, but I pray for strength of mind & heart to NEVER do such a thing!

I'm a Methodist also. Know what the difference is between Methodist and Baptists? Methodist can go out in public to drink a beer instead of drinking it at home...

Sgt Kelli Mays, I had a first cousin who was a Methodist minister in Detroit,Michigan. When I was there in '67 I wanted to see him but I didn't have time to do it, with the racial riots going on.
