Despite reports of a strong police presence in the streets of Russian cities last Thursday and over the weekend, several people attended protests against the invasion of Ukraine.
Many Russians have voiced their opposition to Russian military troops carrying out operations in Ukraine.
Ksenia is a Russian student who was born and raised in St Petersburg in Russia. She is speaking out against the invasion of Ukraine, and says people in her community are suffering with huge emotional distress over the situation.
She says "people want to live in peace, nobody needs war, and everybody wants to finish this situation as fast as possible".

It's been said that Russian citizens were "proud," when Russia invaded Crimea; yet today, we see multiple, and rather large demonstrations in various Russian cities, against the Ukraine invasion. I think Russian citizens are afraid of what Putin may get them into, and see him now as a crazed meglamaniac.

Is a civil war in the offing? With the losses the russian military is taking, it might be the time to strike.
