Marine dies in support of Operation Inherent Resolve
Sure would like to know the whole story on this Marine. Will all deaths in Operation Inherent Resolve be noncombatant-related? http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-marine-iraq-20141024-story.html

More terrible news. I can't imagine what his family is going through. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Semper Fi Marine! Respect.

Sounds like he died in support of a diplomatic security mission, MSgt (Join to see). I imagine it's difficult to draw the line between combat-related and non-combat-related. And I'll bet there might be a good deal of politics wrapped up in that determination.

CW5 (Join to see) Yes sir I would agree. Although I would like DOD to come out with the details of his death to highlight the challenges of our men and women in this mission to the uninformed U.S. Populous.
