This is something that should have been dealt with before the current pandemic.

Years ago, too!! I've heard that Europe takes care of its veterans better than the US does. Don't know if that's true or not though. But our we all should have better treatment than civilians considering many of us were either drafted or volunteered. While many lazy asses and couch potatoes stayed home playing video games!! You get my vote/thumbs up on that response CW5 Jack Cardwell !!

Thanks, now that I see the footage I remember having seen that on TV. I remember us doing similar things in Vietnam in the late 60s and I did the burials for NVA. Still have hard time with it

I was a homeless Veteran for 2 years (2016-2018) due to a few disasters I didn't see coming - Exhusband was the catalyst. I was lucky to be able to be in the Philadelphia area and lived at Veteran's Haven South in Hammonton, NJ. Good program when I was there, not so good now with their current administration, but it did provide me with the resources and time to get my 100%. My fiance also spent those 2 years with me there. I would be happy to help in anyway I can to help my brothers and sisters who are on the street.

I have heard many good things about Veterans Haven South. When I meet homeless Veterans in my area, Reading and Pottsville, PA, I give them information about the many inpatient programs at the Coatesville, PA Veterans Medical Center. You can stay there for almost 2 years in 6 month programs like Fresh Start and LZ II, 28 day Alcohol/Drug program, 2 to 3 month PTSD program and also there's a dormitory where you can stay for 6 months. So all the time there, you can save up all your income cause no rent and meals and clothes are provided. While you are there, the DAV is on campus to help you get your service connected disability comp or increase it if you already have a %. It's a great place, movie theatre, swimming pool, arcade, library with computers. If you know Veterans that need help, please tell them about Coatesville VAMC. HOOYAH!!!
