Summer is almost upon us, and with it a surge of pride and patriotism for the land of the free and the home of the brave. We mark Independence Day with parades, barbecues, and fireworks displays. But while our American values should always be cause for celebration, we must always remember that freedom isn’t free.
That message isn’t lost on Evan Williams, an American-owned and American-made Bourbon whose legacy stretches back to the earliest days of the republic. In 1783, Evan Williams, the man, immigrated from Wales to Kentucky and built the first commercial whiskey distillery in the state. He did it with a lot of hard work, dedication, and personal sacrifice: values that Evan Williams Bourbon, like the U.S. Military community, cherish to this day.
That’s why Evan Williams is proud to honor our nation’s military veterans with its American-Made Heroes program. https://rly.pt/EvanWilliams
Now in its third year, Evan Williams’ American-Made Heroes recognizes six veterans who exhibited outstanding service as members of the Armed Forces, and who continue to go above and beyond by giving back to their communities. These are selfless individuals who volunteer their time and professional resources to organizations that benefit young people, the underprivileged, and their fellow veterans. In some cases, they’ve even established charitable organizations of their own.
Evan Williams features these American-Made Heroes on limited edition red, white, and blue bottles of their Kentucky Straight Bourbon, which become available just before Memorial Day. Each bottle brings a veteran’s inspiring story of service to life. The company also makes a donation to each veteran’s chosen charity. This year, these non-profit organizations include: the United Service Organizations (USO), Veterans of Foreign Wars, Veterans Empowering Veterans, Semper K9 Assistance Dogs, and Veteran Excursions to Sea.
Rally Point is proud to call attention to brands like Evan Williams, who not only understand our military values but believe in giving back. As we prepare to honor the fallen this Memorial Day—and celebrate the freedoms we enjoy thanks to all American service men and women—we encourage you to visit American-MadeHeroes.com to learn more about this year’s honorees. You can also nominate the military hero in your life. Any U.S. active or retired military person over the age of 21 is eligible, and 50 winners receive a gift of thanks valued at up to $200. Take a moment to recognize our nation’s heroes and lend your support to this uniquely American campaign.
