SGT (Join to see) Not for $100. If I could get them for say $60 most definitely. They could go right beside my Adidas JawPaw water shoes that are perfect for Thailand.

SGT (Join to see) - Thanks, they are very comfortable and I feel like I am barefoot when I wear them. I find myself wearing them more often than my sandals. They were around $50 with the exchange rate.

If they were free, maybe. If I was paid to wear them, depends on how much. I'm not a showy guy and sometimes something is just too trendy and screams LOOK AT ME.

They look cool, but there's not enough awesome to justify >$100 shoes. I'm with you.

SGT (Join to see) - I am seriously puzzled that the less there is of a shoe, the more expensive it is. I don't buy any shoes that aren't on sale or I don't have a ProDeal for. I hate paying more than $40 for a pair of shoes.
Looks handy for canoeing or kayaking where you will be wading in water on sharp rocks or the occasional broken glass and the cloth and rubber construction will stand up to the elements. Might be good for beaches too - to keep the sand out and be washable later.

I hate Vibrams with a passion. I coach people in triathlon and running, I cannot even count how many people get injured because of Vibrams

I'm not a foot doctor, so I'm not qualified to go into details, but after a person is accustomed to wearing highly padded running shoes, going to these is hell on the metatarsals. Two of my friends have broken metatarsal bones from running in these, had to wear a boot for months. I can see the value in weight lifting, as these would strengthen feet for lifting, which will help with almost any lift.
Also I hate feet, and the foot shaped ones make me gag upon viewing

SPC Jillian O'Malley - Just saw this but I do agree. Running in minimalist shoes sucked for my weight.
