Would You Do This? 100 Women Will Walk 100 Miles To Inspire Pope Francis To Keep Talking About Immigration.

After her husband was arrested in late 2013 for being an undocumented immigrant and locked up for five months in Pennsylvania’s York County Prison, Pilar Molina decided it was time to go to Mass. Every Tuesday morning, Molina, a Mexican-American mother of two, would arrive at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Norristown, Pennsylvania, and pray for her husband’s safe return to their home outside Philadelphia.
Eventually, her husband, Israel, was released after an immigration judge ruled in his favor -- an outcome that Molina, 30, calls “a miracle."
“I made a promise to myself that whatever happened, I would keep going to church," she said. "We can’t keep separating families -- mine or anyone else’s.”

Well in my younger and stronger days I would consider walking 100 miles for a cause SGT (Join to see). However, I wouldn't walk to keep a Pope taking about anything.

Nah! I'll take your word for it LTC Stephen F. . I pretty much understood the entire rant. (-:

I certainly would; SGT (Join to see).
I certainly concur with Molina: It was a miracle that helped Molina's husband get out of jail.
It was also the Judge; who was compassionate enough, intelligent enough, (He was very, very familiar with the law.) and balanced enough- to be able to release Molina's husband from jail.
[My father was a Federal Administrative Law Judge.]

Keith, I didn't know what you meant at first with your LOL. LOL right back atcha; SGT (Join to see). Yes I do inspire; but inspiration is born in other people. I just throw things out there; and I am blessed and honored if anyone is inspired.

I suppose I would walk 100 miles for immigration if there was a reasonable cause for concern about immigration. However, I don't see any. There is a reasonable cause for concern about illegal trespass, but I don't think the Pope is in any position to do anything about that, is he?

I think it's more about her husband being released than changes in immigration CPT Jack Durish, but it makes for a good story.

Outstanding, Pope Francis really is a Modern Day Saint. Have nothing but Love and Respect for the Man. I understand his history and background too. I remember his Mentor Bishop Oscar Romero and how he was killed by Right Wing Death Squads for Standing up to the Military and the Military Junta for Social Justice.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel, I do like the Pope's personality. I really don't know the first thing about the Catholic religion.

We Catholics are Very Big on "Social Justice" That is or was until the Schism caused by Roe vs Wade which divided the Church. The Right Wing of the Church (Mostly the US College of Cardinals) took up the Abortion cause while ignoring the rest of the Tenants which had a lot to do with a lot of us leaving the church. Now to hear Glenn Beck tell it "Social Justice" is just another name for Communism and if your church teaches it you need to run far and fast from it (He Converted from Catholicism to Mormon). Well the New Boss Man wasn't happy with the Status and Quo and Forcibly Retired the Head of the US College of Cardinals. Our current Pope was greatly influenced by the Hunting of Catholic Priests and Nuns by Right Wing Death Military Junta Squads in South and Central America for Daring to Preach "Social Justice". Personally I have some time to Spend in Purgatory, You see I was the Naval Communicator for Iran-Contra in London Handling the Messages between the US and US Embassy in Israel, Israel was the Middle Man. In order to hide profits we used them to fund the Contras, Right Wing Death Squads that were killing my Fellow Catholics or any Christian that Dared to Speak up for the Poor or Oppressed.

Nope...I would not. Not that I have anything against Catholics, but I do have some strong opinions on the pope and some of the customs...like bending down before him and kissing his ring....I think Jesus is rolling around in heaven everytme this happens...the pope is not GOD yet....many treat him as if he were one...or like going to confession and being told...ok, you'll be forgiven of your sins....go to five hell mary's, six cartwheels and cook an awesome dinner for your husband tonight and you shall be absolved of your sins......yeah, right.....ok, so I got a little side tracked....but no....you shouldn't have to walk a hundred miles to get the attention of the pope...or to inspire him on a subject... Either he's going to talk about it or not...and what happens after they walk the hundred miles and he doesn't continue talking about immigration?
No, it doesn't seem to me to be a purpose or a solution by walking a hundred miles.

You funny girl Sgt Kelli Mays, I wouldn't walk a mile for the Pope. He's a figure head like Queen Elizabeth. I hope he's got all the pervert priests kicked out., that's my only thorn in the side.

Only if I believed it would do:
1. Secure the border.
2. Deport or provide harsh punishment to illegal aliens that partake in violent / drug crime.
3. Provide a path way to citizenship to insure that everyone in this country is living by the same laws and playing by the same rules!
