Will President Biden motivate NATO to put their 2% of GDP toward Defense or will they go back to not paying their share?

POTUS Biden says the USA is back. What does this mean? POTUS Trump told those NATO partners to stop skipping on their voluntary contribution to 2% of GDP toward defense. The media and the Europeans said it was weakening the alliance. How much weaker could they be at that time when Germany had less than a dozen airworthy fighters, 1/2 of their tanks were not operational, and not one submarine was ready for action! Since then, some NATO partners (Namely the Baltic states) have been putting in their fair share to the alliance since they did not forget that Russia conquered them in World War 2.

Fastest horse doesn’t always win but it’s how you should bet. My money is on us picking up the tab. Just as we just did at the G7. 1 billion vaccines donated by the G7 countries to 3rd world countries. The US providing half.

I’m not so sure if we would get so much cooperation from NATO especially from the European forces. I say this because Europe will soon be depending on Russia for energy resources thanks to Biden giving his blessing for Russia going ahead with their oil pipeline network, while shutting our resources down.
I really believe that there has been a huge loss of respect of our country by other nations due to the weakness of our President. Russia and China will have a huge stronghold on Europe for trade and energy and eventually that Europe will be beholden to the communist regimes.
