Will my wife receive the second lump sum of her bonus on a pay day or on the 2 year anniversary of her enlistment date?

My wife tried explaining to me that if you enlist into the army with a bonus in your contract that is over a certain amount, the army will pay you a lump sum of the bonus on the 1 year anniversary of the date you enlisted and give you the rest in installments throughout the rest of your contract . So last year she got her lump sum whenever she hit her first year . She is currently in the process of getting out under chapter 8 and her ETS date is April 4th, 2019 but her 2nd year anniversary is April 3rd, 2019. Will my wife be receiving her second lump before she gets out ?

I would be more concerned about the fact that her bonus will be recouped for the unearned portion.

We are already aware my wife just received a job as a contractor on post but she will be off work for about 20 days w no pay until she starts her no job . So she wanted to know if she will be receiving her second lump sum .

SPC (Join to see) she almost certainly won't receive a bonus payment, but that really comes down to when separations were initiated etc.
Don't forget to plan for her not receiving her final pay either. It will be held until her bonus is recouped

If your wife did not fulfill the amount of years her contract stated, she will not receive any of the remaining amount and the Army will also recoup the amount she already received because she did not fulfill her contract obligation.

I doubt it- bonuses are paid based on the needs of the service and her fulfilling her contract, she can't fulfill it with a chapter, and they can try to recoup the 1st payment as well.
