Why isn’t the liberal media condemning Louis Farrakhan and the American Nation of Islam’s overtly racist and anti Semitic statements ?

I agree. They are not interested in reducing the source of their votes and finances ie fanning flames of racism.

As an independent I'll argue that Republicans are just as bad as Democrats when it comes to holding onto their agenda and ignoring anything that detracts from that agenda.

As you can guess, I totally disagree. For this man to remain out of the, left controlled, media is prima facia proof they agree with most or all of his opinions. This outwardly, unabashed racist man is no different than the KKK’s (again far-left) David Duke.

SGT Jim Humphrey. I sadly dissagree. The media’s silence speaks volumes. Everyone condemned the idiots at Charlottesville. KKK is despicable. But it is also easy for a reasonable man to be disgusted and recognize the racists people in black lives matter and all of these groups. When preoole chant and call for racial murders or beating, Call for the denial of other civil rights the must be condemned. ALL of them. Farrakhan has been a life long racist and the volumes of examples are striking. People are angry and interested in him being outed as a the racist he is. The democrats and lap dog media need to understand that and stop collaborating and supporting racists by trying to muddy the water and cover for this lifelong avowed racist.

Paul . I don't think we disagree on this. I was trying, unsuccessfully, to point out that the left, like a swami, has been the able to convince most of the public that these racist people and organizations are/were the products of the Right. Nothing in history concerning racism is further than the truth. I think we are lacking in our schools.

Leftist politicians have kept a large boot on the black community before and since the Army of the Republic slapped them down. LTC (Join to see) - A little biased, sure I'll give you that. But nearly useless, hardly. Has the media gotten it wrong before, absolutely, they are after all only human and people makes mistakes. But 9 times out of 10 they admit their mistake and retract it. The problem isn't what they are reporting, but how they are reporting it. It's in the wording and tone of the story and instead of just reporting the facts, each individual puts their own little spin on it, fanning the flames. A while back, several news outlets reported that Trump basically lied to Trudeau about trade surplus in Canada's favor, Trump blasted it as "fake news". Then just yesterday during a fundraiser in Missouri, Trump admitted to lying to Trudeau about it. The media, specifically news outlets are a very important check and balance on our government. That trust is being further eroded because of story driven articles instead of fact driven articles and an administration intent at looking good at all costs. And to be honest, Trump brought most of this on himself when he started attacking the media.

CPL Tom Surdi. I agree and am also anti party and a independent. That being said, it is completely false that there is parity between liberal and conservative news. There is none. Effectively there is one conservative new source (Fox) and everyone else is left field or left center a truly troubling occurrence for a free society with grave implications regarding the ability of independents to hear both sides of an argument. The disparity is so great that I often find myself in the uncomfortable position of arguing against the echo chamber of democratically controlled lap dog media. Yes Fox is biased but everyone can see that the score is 30 versus 1. A sad testimony to a “free independent press”.

LTC (Join to see) - Then it's up to us, the people, to ignore the bias and just look at the facts. When I read an article, I try to find at least 3 other source that report on the same issue so I can cooberate the facts and come to my own conclusion. But part of the problem currently is that people don't know who to trust anymore because of our Russian bot problem. Most people foolishly get most of their news from social media, which Russia exploited as recently as a month ago after the mass shooting. They disseminated a bunch of propaganda about the shooter being a liberal and people believed it. And unfortunately our Government isn't doing anywhere near enough to stop it. So once again, it's up to us to to sift through the bias and lies and find the facts. It's unfortunate that we have to do that, but we currently live in a very polarized country for the moment, so the readers need to become more savvy.

Corporal Tom Surdi. Of course you understand there’s a big difference between being mistaken about effect and intentionally lying. All politicians lie and Trump is a politician so certainly he sometimes lies. I don’t think he does to the same degree as most politicians but I don’t think he’s very careful with his facts either. He has a annoying and refreshing trait where he truly genuinely makes up his own mind about things, for better or for worse. I think the fact that he called himself out to the prime minister of Canada regarding this fact is pertinent and commendable. I appreciate the fact that he’s frequently rude and disagreeable on a consistent basis. He also has his loud opinions and sticks to them with conviction and has been found to be correct in many of the controversial things he has said. I just wish he could say those things in a more professional or less disagreeable fashion. Not that the media will give him a stick of credit for it but again he has often been right and what he has said. In many ways I have much more respect for Trump then I did for Obama because Trump is not as professional and polished type of liar. You would never hear the Obama White House admitting to A lie. They would take it to the grave and drag down the entire administration over the sake of protecting the fake china doll image of the president which is sad. The Trump presidency is much more in your face and willing to fall down and admit to problems many of which are self caused. The media has earned its own condemnation and has truly become a lapdog of the alt left regressive Democrats. It is almost as if they are taking a playbook from the fascist handbook. They pit the minorities in America by creating a false dichotomy against everyone else without ever solving any of those problems in order to “retain votes”. They had the majority in the House and Senate and the presidency and could’ve easily passed DACA but chose not to in order to have an issue to kick the Republicans over. They favor illegal immigrants over legal immigrants and in doing so Terrorize neighborhoods were illegal immigrants reside. They have weaponized and corrupted huge parts of the IRS the FBI and the Justice Department and many of the courts around the country. Rather than solve and address the problems which cause crime which are related to the criminal they demonize in animate object‘s which enable the poor who cannot afford armed guards and security personal protection in the form of a gun. They would seek to violate constitutional protections afforded to us for their own ends. Again right out of the fascism playbook. In addition in the name of political correctness they continue to restrict an assault the freedom of speech under the guise of protecting people from hurt feelings and true debate. They trends are severe an alarming and all magnified by a damn near useless biased media hell-bent on destroying the legitimately elected president and propping up a left-wing progressive democratic platform at the expense of their professional morals and the truth. We are at a juncture as a country which is critical. We need to remind the media of their professional oath and call for all Media outlets, the 30 or so liberal or left of center outlets and the one conservative to print the truth and the facts even when it’s inconvenient or uncomfortable for until we can begin discussing things truthfully without mindless political correctness we will never solve any of these issues.
