Why do these politicians who have never served start wearing American flags when running for office? Trump never wore one but now he is in every photo or interview. Search Google for pics of Trump and you wont see any of him wearing a flag prior to his announcement. Obama was the same way until one of his aides must have told him to wear one.

I have a twenty foot flagpole outside my home and the flag is flying. Do you think any of these people do? It really irks me that they can appear to be so patriotic when in fact they are not.

hey, BS'ing the American people is a tough job, blowing sun shine up their skirts, peeing on their legs and telling them its raining...whose gonna do it, you LT Weinburg?? Sorry, flashback to a movie.
its the same when they literally put on a hat or jacket of the group they are speaking to, or of Hillary pretending to be 'among the people.'

Or do this... See my point. A lapel pin does not define patriotism, nor does having a flag on your front lawn. It is what you do with that patriotism that counts.

Oh yeah, he is a real patriotic man, so much so he used deferments to void military service after graduating from a military prep school! Take a look at the video, Prisoner of Wharton!

I don't have a lot of Tolerance or Patience for Chicken Hawks. You are selling yourself as a "Hawk" and you are old enough to have served in Vietnam but got some kind of "Dodge". Don't waste my Time or Your Breath. Actions Speak Louder than Words.

Their campaign managers tell them to. Current Congress people running typically always wear them prior to their announcement, but that's because they are in Congress, not necessarily out of a sense of patriotism.

I don't know. I try not to let little stuff like that bother me when we have an obvious threat sneaking into the land committing crimes & plotting worse. In the end, its just a pin. It's not as if they are committing stolen valor by wearing a lapel pin. Now, if they were wearing, say, a Trident lapel pin that indicates they were a SeAL? Yeah, then I would be a little put off.
