I'm a HUGE Admirer of our President! I Personally Love the job he has done! Especially with what he had to tell with when he took over the Office! Many people seem to Disregard that fact! Why? I don't know! However, many of you seem Dissatisfied! Why? He hasn't done anything for this Country in terms of Moving it Forward? The Country hasn't Progressed under him? What are your Thoughts!

By asking that question, I take it you would not understand or accept answers different from you own POV.

I think he's done a fine job. He's certainly better than a lot of others we've had. Most of the hate and vitriol is just motivated by partisanship, and in some cases, racism. There are things I think could been done better, or different, but that's typical of not just any politician or any leader, but any other person.

But for the most part, he inherited a pretty crummy hand and I think he's managed to do play well with what he's given, despite the attempts at sabotage.

Obama has done a fine job of blaming Bush for everything that went wrong on his watch. Now he can blame the previous Administration... oh darn, that was his... Need another excuse? Obama can't wait for Congress to act. He has a pen and phone and is prepared to legislate without them... except that it is not his job to legislate but to EXECUTE the laws passed by Congress. He doesn't get to pick and choose. He didn't need Congress to rescue Bergdahl. No, he purposely neglected to inform Congress 30 days in advance of the Prisoner Swap (which by law he was required to do), and bypassed Congress, the voice of the people in government! Who needs Congress anyway when you're a self-proclaimed Constitutional professor?!!

To be fair, Obama HAS been effective at undermining the Constitution and diminishing American influence around the world. As a President (a position which he STILL has never been properly vetted for) he is merely reaping what he has sown. The same words he used to describe the "failed policies" of the G.W. Bush Administration whose spending he describe as "irresponsible" and "unpatriotic." His ridicule is coming back to haunt him. Obama bragged that he was going to turn the economy around and just look at how things have turned around. Obama went his entire first term without passing a budget. That is one of his Constitutional duties. Oops! Our National Debt is now up past $19 trillion... but, let me guess -- HIS spending is responsible and patriotic?!!

Obama has failed so miserably in every aspect of his (p)Residency that by comparison, he makes G.W. look like a fiscal and foreign policy genius as well as a compassionate Commander in Chief. And that isn't saying much.

Capt Jeff S. - He didn't burn up thousands of our people and tens of thousands more people in a totally unnecessary war, despite calls to the contrary. What's really sad about that is that "avoiding unnecessary wars" has now become a benchmark for success, thanks to our prior... leadership.

The Republicans have been hounding for a new war with Iran and even went so far as to send a poison-pen letter to this rival nation to scuttle negotiations. Bear in mind that Ronald Reagan meet frequently with the Soviet leaders, even though their nation really *was* an existential threat to the United States. We wouldn't have to worry about working with Iran in the region if the previously mentioned unnecessary war hadn't allowed Al-Quaeda, and later ISIL, to spread across multiple borders. The budget proposals under Obama are slowly making things better, digging us out of the hole we were left in by 2008, and that's despite repeated GOP shutdowns over temper-tentrum issues. The guy has had to put up with a lot of uncivil activity that in some cases stops just short of outright treason. Congressional leaders have shown a willingness to crash the entire economy just to score a few political points, and that is downright irresponsible.

We could go on and on, round and round, but it comes down to this: I know you hate, hate, hate Obama. Fine. That's your choice. I don't care *why* you hate him. But if I could survive 8 years of George W. Bush without losing my grip every time the subject came up, then the Obama haters can buckle up the big-kid britches and endure this last year. We have all had to serve with, or under the command of, people we have seen as distasteful for various reasons. But the fire hose of Obama hatred has been of cartoonish proportions for a long time.

Ah yes, the old condescending "How dare you call my (p)Resident bad when Bush was worse you racist hater" failed argument. Was kind of hoping you were going to have an original thought.

"The budget proposals under Obama are slowly making things better, digging us out of the hole we were left in by 2008, and that's despite repeated GOP shutdowns over temper-tentrum issues."

Well, I'm speechless. Obama went his entire first term without passing a budget. How does one answer THAT?

SPC Andrew Griffin - The President told us about 5 years ago that the economy would be coming back, his words, maybe the VP- was to say it would be "Recovery Summer".
I am still waiting. Maybe a "Recovery Winter" this year?

I’ll say it 2 ways. ACADEMICALLY - the hegemonic class (White, Anglo-Saxon, Protestant (Particularly Calvinistic tradition) Christian, Straight, Married, Middle Income > Blue Collar Republican) CLEARLY BELIEVES the White American status-quo has been threaded (dare I say “given away”) to a minority Commander in Chief. PLAINLY IN ENGLISH – Bold faced bigotry and racism. Pure and simple.
The birthers conspiracy and Muslim name calling is NOT political dissent, it is racism. From Bachman to Trump that’s racism.

I am neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with President Obama's performance.
Yes he has done some good things as President and he has made many missteps which makes you wonder what is going on.
His getting involved in the Trayvon Martin matter seemed more about race than anything else, especially with his saying "if I had a son". On that matter in my opinion I think the DA wrecked his case because he concentrated more on race than the actual fact that George Zimmerman acted irresponsibly by ignoring the orders of the 911 dispatcher to stay back and wait for police to arrive.
Trading 5 Taliban for 1 deserter, no one can ever convince me that it was a good deal for anyone except the Taliban. Military minded or not, who trades 5 stars for 1 bench player?
Going to the funeral in South Carolina and instead of doing a proper eulogy for the Pastor he got on a soap box about gun control. Personally for me its very disrespectful to say anything at a funeral about anything except about the deceased.
His move on immigration, bypassing our lame duck (nicest word I can use here) House and Senate to attempt to grant legal status to what is the number 11 million illegal immigrants. Instead of closing the gap he only widened it.
When Michael Ferguson was killed in Ferguson, MO he sent White House representatives to attend the funeral, since then there have been several police officers killed by criminals, actually assassinated is a better term the most prolific being the 2 NYC officers ambushed by a black assailant while sitting in their patrol car, and has anyone from the White House gone to those funerals? Not that we have heard of and you know how social media reports even a fly being too long in a spot.
President Obama has made very snide remarks during the National Prayer Breakfast about Christianity, but quickly said its a subject for another day, it leaves people wondering what he was insinuating.
Comparing the Crusades to ISIS / ISIL in a speech, I mean your comparing religious fanatics who are at war today with religious fanatics who were at war how many hundreds of years ago against another group of religious fanatics, what is the point?
Iran Nuclear Deal, how do you make a deal with a county that has stabbed us in the back before? And even during talks their leader, the Sha, has said that Iran will do as it pretty much pleases and is not concerned with what anyone else thinks, Iran has dictated inspection criteria. How do you trust Iran, and don't give me crap about verification because we all know that the Iranian leadership is verifiable crazy.
On the good things, I do like the Health care, its long over due however we need to work out the bumps because nothing is perfect. We as a world leader need this and need to make our program an example for other countries to follow.
Giving the go ahead on the Osama bin Laden mission was a nice feather in his cap.
I think the job of President though is beyond difficult, you are forced to make decisions based on information provided by your closest advisors, good advisors means good advice and thus popular decisions where bad advisors means bad advice and thus unpopular decisions.

I think we can all agree that being President or any ruling title for any country is never going to be easy for that person. The daily decisions alone are going to be daunting.
I also believe because of social media being so fast today that even when the President sneezes its posted or tweeted out for everyone to analyze.
With everyone having an opinion I doubt that we will ever have a President that is genuinely liked and admired.

Many people have regretted their decision to support BO, including the support given for a Nobel Peace prize which wasn't earned!

My issue with him is how he presents himself here and abroad. If you do not say anything when a cop is shoot in a tension filled area until weeks later but invite a kid to the white house that made the news because a teacher thought his clock was a bomb the next day it sets a bad image. If you tell one country or religion they should not hold a celebration because it might offend their neighbor it looks bad. He has advisors that explain how best to interact with a country based on political and cultural ramifications. This country will think you are weak if you approach them this way. it will insult them if you present your feet. these kinds of things. he has chosen to ignore his advisors (or not get ride of them for so much bad advise) and insult our allies. he could have made a much bigger impact if he had chosen a agenda in his first term. Instead he has flailed all over the place like a Muppet. He says one thing and then does another down the road. The lack of focus makes it look like he is unsure what he is doing.

Why? No leadership ability. Being in the military for 25 years, I know he would have been hidden in a supply squadron somewhere.
