While in Vietnam for this Memorial Day, how should I show respect for our fallen soldiers without offending the locals?

I’m leaving for Vietnam in a couple days for “Operation Walk”. I make it a habit to show respect to our brothers and sisters every Memorial Day. I’ll be in Vietnam for Memorial Day this year. I don’t want to offend the locals. Is there a way to do both?
