Find the position description for the job you are applying for. Make sure you cover all of the evaluated KSAs for the job your applying for (which you're actually qualified for). Anything else only if it is superlative.

LTC Jay Hicks, I help Vets with linking members up with positions throughout the Country through Networking, i.e. like LinkedIn where I have almost 4K, including some Command Staff, and Fortune 500 100 firms. You can use me POC. I am including a sample of what I can do.

LTC Jay Hicks One approach that worked for me...build two ridiculously long resumes for yourself, one chronological and one with all the KSAs arranged by category. These are your "generics". Then for particular job applications, you are able to select the lines that directly apply to the job you're applying for, building your tailored resume to the acceptable length and prioritized according to that particular job. Of course, remember that relationships built and maintained are WAY more likely to land you the position of a lifetime than a perfect resume. Keep networking, and best wishes.
