My answer would be the same as I have given my super troopers, want to be special? there is an Olympics for that. Depending on the unit you are assigned to there will be a TACSOP for how you are required to have gear configured. CIF has the new IOTV in Multicam, I think that you will find it is as good as it gets and still be within regulations. As a SPC you don't make enough cash to be purchasing SF/Ranger BAT OCIE. Don't be the guy showing up to the field in airsoft gear, otherwise you will be going to talk to the 1SG with your COC https://www.armytimes.com/news/your-army/2018/01/01/new-in-2018-army-to-issue-new-body-armor-to-soldiers/

"As a SPC you don't make enough cash to be purchasing SF/Ranger BAT OCIE."

Are you kidding me? if I had the kind of income that a SPC has I could get the same gear as sf and rangers, I have seen the prices. you may not be able to get it all at once but to think that a SPC doesn't make enough money is just asinine. I would love to know where you get your bogus information.

You won't find any regulation on equipment and TA50. It's up to the unit to decide what level of protection they want. The only thing you will find is being strictly forbidden from using personal body armor while deployed

Everything I can find (or lack thereof in regards to regulations) states that it's unit policy driven. If your CoC is good with it, then you should be good. So, check with CoC.
