Honestly, nowadays, when I think of Civil Rights....I think of how PISSED OFF MLK would be if he came back alive today and see how far his work has crumbled. The sea of hatred and intolerance has become bigger and angrier creating bigger cracks and holes in the wall that stems back the flow, and the individuals that fight the good fight to ensure equality for all, sure aren't a lot of us standing their with our fingers plugged into those holes and cracks.

Protests, civil disorder, property destruction, racial strife.
What was once a critical need in our society has become an excuse for abuse of others, but this is starting to be recognized and corrected.
"Arizona lawmakers are debating a controversial new measure to expand the state’s current ‘ban’ on ethnic studies classes to state colleges and universities. The original ban, passed in 2010, extends to Arizona’s public and charter primary and secondary schools.
If approved, the new expansion would prohibit colleges and universities in Arizona from holding classes that ‘promote division, resentment, or social justice toward a race, gender, religion, political affiliation, social class or other class’ in addition to classes targeting a single ethnic group. Schools that violate the ban would risk losing up to 10 percent of their funding from the state."

SGT (Join to see), I think the birthers were wasting their time - although to be fair, Obama fed that narrative for many years by trying to keep everything about his past secret and lying about much of it. It was difficult NOT to be suspicious of Obama, given his provocative actions.

Was needed when implemented, Now all it does is remind me of how whiney people have become.
We have/had a Black President for crying out loud, grow up.
Harsh, maybe but needed to be said.
Not directed at you Cornell.
