When Will It End? Attacks on army, police and U.S. special forces kill 50 in Kabul.

KABUL (Reuters) - A wave of attacks on the Afghan army and police and U.S. special forces in Kabul have killed at least 50 people and wounded hundreds, dimming hopes that the Taliban might be weakened by a leadership struggle after their longtime leader's death.
The bloodshed began on Friday with a truck bomb that exploded in a heavily populated district of the capital and ended with an hours-long battle at a base used by U.S. special forces. It became the deadliest day in Kabul for years.

Unfortunately, while we have forces there we are a target because we are willing to fight & die for what we believe in.

CSM Michael J. Uhlig, Just like the enemy feels. The only exception is that we don't blow ourselves up on purpose. If they can keep them over there, dead or alive, then they're doing their job. God Bless them.

It will end when the Afghans decide to join the 21st Century. Britain couldn't get them to move very far in that direction, USSR couldn't and we damn sure can't.

I doubt it can be totally stopped but we could slow them down , back to the bronze age at least. As much as i hate to say it, US Combat troops on the ground with a mission and no Politicians or Press....

I wouldn't want anyone in my country of a different religion and belief system giving orders. Imagine if 'Muslim country X' landed on our shores and said we are going to Ferguson to maintain order and started setting up TCP's? They could give any number of reasons why they were here and our government can say "let them help" or anything to back their actions, but I know of one or two people who might be willing to stand up against it. Pull them out. Pull them all out.
