You will first go thru medical, supply etc, at reception, that is when you will get your uniforms, once you have cleared all of that good stuff, the drill sgt's will pick you up and you will start your actual basic. Let the good times roll.

Yep; although the process can take a very long time. I was at my reception battalion for 10 days. I know guys who waited longer. And least I forget how there was a 3 day period during our in-processing where we got no sleep! It was where I first learned how to sleep standing up...until someone notices that is. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not everything they do not supply running shoes or personal hygiene products but they will give you part of your pay and take you to the PX to purchase these items. I did basic at Lenard Wood in 1990 my son did it last year at Lenard Wood. I cried when I saw the the building that I was in, it had been decommissioned and was almost falling down around itself. But it was built at the end of WW 2. My son was in a brand new building man how times have changed
