Transferring to active duty on Monday from the reserves. Does my pay start on the day I sign my DD4 or on the day my orders are finalized and issued?

Bro, by all means, shoot me a PM if you’ve got questions. I’ve been there done that and got the T shirt, and now I get to make sure all my guys crossing over get their shit straight

Hi, Me again!
So you get paid the day you report. But, will take until the next pay period until you start collecting a check.
That being said, AS SOON as you get to your unit, check your ERB and make sure that Gucci. Also check your LES and make sure you’re getting paid for the correct TIS.
I was getting paid E5 with zero years and took roughly 8 months to start getting paid right.
