Hello everyone, I currently only have 6 classes left before I earn my bachelors degree in history. I haven't decided if I'm going to pursuing my masters on a ROTC scholarship, or if I should just apply for OCS once I earn my bachelors degree. My question is can you start the OCS packet process if you only have a semester left of school?

You only need 90 credit hours to commission. You just have to finish your degree in order to make Captain.

Sir, they changed the requirements a few years back. You now must have completed your degree prior to submitting your OCS selection packet.

Yes and I suggest that because the packet takes some dedication and time. Doing so will also tell you what the requirements are. In general, requirements will drive the train in your life.

SGT, you'll want to talk with a recruiter and start the packet at least nine months prior to the board date. My deadline for packet submission was four months prior. You'll need to complete your degree before your deadline but as others have stated, you have a lot to do to complete your packet.
