What would you do with the $1B Nazi gold train claimed to be found in Poland?

I would try to get it to those Jewish families whose relatives were killed in the concentration camps as retribution! The problem is, there aren't many relatives living today!

RP Members what would you do with it?

Sir - Put it in a WWII fund and distribute it based on need to those affected directly by WWII. Yeah, I know - easier said than done, but I'd give it a good try!

Keep in Poland to renovate the Holocaust museums there, whatever was left over, offer it for grants to researchers for Holocaust-related studies.

Well being that it was looted from Europe I think it should be giving to the European Central Bank - maybe used as payment or credit for Greece to reduce their 3.8 billion they owe. It would help strengthen the Euro and be a win for all Europeans.

I believe it is a hoax. If it is true, then I would give it to Israel and let them determine how it can best be used. We need to stay out of it because everything we touch seems to go to pot. Just giving it to Israel will cause us grief in the Arab world (especially once we give it to Israel). Let's hope Poland does the right thing.

Giving it to the families of those killed would be a good idea but sadly 1 billion wouldn't go to far to cover everyone impacted. And how do you account for those that sought out other places to live sometimes taking up lower paying jobs in new countries and the money spend to do so?

SGT Ben Keen All valid points. I was just thinking in the country of Poland for starters. It's the thought that counts!

COL Mikel J. Burroughs - Totally agree and yes the people of Poland were greatly effected but so were so many others. Interesting thought though as to what to do with the money.

I would give it to George Soros, Hillary Clinton and Bill Clinton. They have enough money already from the Clinton Foundation, why not add more to it? Just kidding, I would start a fund that an organization that refutes David Duke and the Iranian government with their idiocy in saying that the Holocaust was false. This is pretty unusual considering that General Eisenhower went out of his way to make sure that no SOB 50 years from now would say this is fake. Today's SOB's are David Duke and the Iranian government.
