What needs to happen before your Conditional Release expires to secure your transition onto Active duty?

I have been putting a packet together to become a Warrant Officer Rotary Wing Aviator and I got my conditional release signed to go Active Duty which expires this August. Would I have to go through the MEPs process to finalize my transition onto active duty or would I have to ship off to WOCS before my Conditional Release expires? I hate the thought of having to ask for an extension when it took me so long to get my 368 signed.

You have to get your new contract to active duty and assignment orders to active duty before your conditional release expires.

From my understanding once your talk to the recruiter and you and him have signed your DA 368 and it’s been submitted it’s a waiting game. If approved you are released and cleared to join Active Duty through active duty recruiters as a prior service candidate. If your conditional release expires you can apply for an additional 3 month extension. Stay on your recruiters to do you right because recruiters do not get enlistment credits for recruiting prior service and some may make you a low priority. Hopefully not the case.

Why don’t you ask your WOCS recruitment team. Just a thought I’m sure they would have the answer!
