It used to be our patriotism to our great country and the belief that our way of life if worth fighting for to retain our rights and freedoms no matter the sacrifice. Sadly, I'm not so sure that is the case any longer.

The NCO.

Other nations have NCOs. All of them that have GOOD NCOs learned from us. And none of them have an NCO Corps on our level. Our NCOs can run units with no Officers at all. And when they DO have the Officers, our NCOs train, train, and train some more.

Our professional NCOs mean that no matter how many leaders we lose, we continue to function.

Very true and also there are other Men and women under the Supervision of the NCOs that also are able to step up and take charge an most also do very well whenever they are needed. The upward mobility and gaining of experience helps make leaders and Younger people handling tasks that in the civilian world they would never have been entrusted with.

When I was in you trained hard an you keep training to do your job an the next person's an if you was gaining an experience the Officers an NCO's loved it. My last time over sea's I would here it not my job an it would make me so mad not from NCO's but from E-1 up too E-4.

I agree with SFC O'Mally. We have the best NCO's in the world, who can take over immediately. But we have another big advantage over foreign forces. Our men and women are very flexible are are capable of adjusting to changes. If there is any constant in the battlefield, it is change will happen. Many foreign armies have excellent, detailed plans. But when change happens, they are lost. Our guys just bitch and say, ok, what's new, and implement change #32.

Also our soldiers can think for themselves and act as needed, not confined to some stupid doctrine (Yes e have the rules in place to keep them from going too far, or are supposed to)
