What is the explanation for the Separation Pay deduction on my final LES?

I just finished my contract and have been waiting for my final pay. Today I logged into mypay to look at my LES. Lo and behold, there finally is one. I sold 30.5 days of leave and have been waiting to get that check. My final day was 02OCT19 so there should also be pay for those 2 days.
I do not owe anyone anything. Never had a star card. Owed CIF nothing. Owed my unit nothing. But on my LES it has a deduction for Separation Pay. I finished my contract under Honorable conditions. Not a single Article 15 or anything.
What is this? I tried looking it up but the only thing I could find was for either people who reenlisted or for actual separation pay. This took my whole pay leaving me with a pay of 0.98!
Attached is a copy of my LES with some things blacked out.

The separation pay reflected under deductions is your final entitlements minus everything else in deductions. The entitlements include two days of base pay ($162.12) . Since they stopped your held pay status on 22 Oct, DFAS should be making a deposit in the amount of $2439.73 when they make EOM deposits. Balances of plus or minus one dollar are considered a wash so you will lose out on the .98 credit.

MSG, if I understand correctly, it would be a deduction similar to how mid month pay shows on an LES? So come the 1st I should receive the separation pay of $2439.73?
The math adds up. Taking all the deductions including the 0.98 it comes to the same amount. This is a very confusing way of doing thing.

Correct. It is made even more confusing by the fact that "separation pay" is an actual severance pay entitlement paid to Service Members that are involuntarily separated with more than 6 years of service.

Sir, I never received separation pay. Going through all of my transition paperwork, nothing mentions separation pay and previous LES do not have any out of the ordinary entitlements. Even checking my bank statements, there is no oddity.

SPC (Join to see) - Then head over to Finance and ask them why this is being deducted. They have made mistakes before. It's possible that your unit admin could take care of it, but if you are leaving the unit, might not be a huge priority. Talk to your chain and get permission to go to Finance.
