I’m wondering if someone can sort of go into detail about the differences between the two? I can’t find much on google about 15w in general, let alone this.

Google should suffice to let you know the basic differences between the 2 systems ((one is big the other is not so much))-- for further information, ask your instructors when you are in the SCIF not social media

So, the Shadow V2 is the smaller UAV but certainly of equal importance as the Gray Eagle. The Shadow believe it or not is a lot more complicated to learn to fly then the Gray Eagle is. The Shadow’s main purpose is to have a AV closer to the fight and that can be launched in a more cramped location as it is launched from a launcher. The Shadow is a more rugged AV in my opinion. The way I see it is that the Shadow can be dragged through the mud and jump on a few times and still get on that launcher and fly the mission, where as the Gray Eagle needs to be caressed and comforted before each flight (Figurative and platform biased obviously). the Gray Eagle is an amazing aircraft as well. Instead of the possibility of being on a cramped fob, you get an airfield so generally, the living is a little nicer on deployment. Plus you can fly the Gray Eagle in a higher and in worse conditions for a longer period of time. The training is a few months longer for a Gray Eagle Operator then Shadow.

Shadow is a small to medium platform with one single camera. Grey eagle is a large airframe which requires an actual runway to takeoff. Grey eagle also can carry hellfire missiles
