What is the current AIT for Reserve 37F like and what is it like being in a Texas based PSYOP Unit?

I reserved my job yesterday at MEPS as a Reserve 37F and was slated to swear in today but we then learned today would be a holiday. I’m posting my question because I’ve seen several different answers that I’m sure come from changes in training. For example I have read three different answers on AIT location for the reserves (Bragg/Leonard Wood/Jackson) and just wanted to know what AIT is like for this MOS. I was also wondering if anyone is currently in or formally with one of the Texas based PSYOP units. I know that my contract is with one of them but can not remember the location (341,344,345,399). What is it like serving in these units? Is it appropriate to reach out to them when I swear in? Thank you!

I was with the 345th PSYOP Co. (Airborne) 2008-2010 in Dallas. It was a good unit on jump status. We got our own flash & oval approved when I was in. Good MOS choice lots of action. Maybe try to visit the unit to get a feel for their operational tempo. Best job I ever had.

1SG (Join to see) Alec “What were drill weeks like” I found 2 old drill schedules that show at that time, our activities. Hope that helps you.

(Join to see) That is great to hear. You will enjoy it. They are also on jump status, the 345th is the other. So maroon beret for you. Hopefully sent to Airborne school after you get back from AIT and then a paratrooper you shall be. Good luck and stay injury free.

AIT was at John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center in Fort Bragg, NC. But I read that they moved it to Fort Jackson last year. Good luck.

Thank you SFC! I had seen that from someone as well but had also read from another person just a few months ago that it was Bragg. So will hopefully get a more clear answer after this weekend from the recruiter.
