Not for myself (I have a few years left before I fall apart), but trying to learn more for my soldiers. Yes, I could google, but there are a lot of regs and I just want to start down the right path.

Tell them they absolutely must make an appointment with a post Physical Evaluation Board Liaison Officer (PEBLO) to discuss the process and the way ahead. The soldiers have no choice in the matter of working with the PEBLO. The PEBLOs will be like the MEB conductor. The good aspect is, the PEBLO will be the single button on MEBs. He/Tshe will be the conduit of information and actions regarding MEBs. They work with the VA, post hospital, and the DOD. They can provide big and small pictures.

One more thing. Have the soldiers find out if they qualify to be assigned to a post Warrior Transition Unit (WTU). The major advantage of this course of action is they can focus primarily on healing. I hope this narrative is fruitful for them.

That is an 80% solution.
