I'm seeing news reports of students walking out of classes today demanding free education. I guess they don't understand it the word free doesn't really exist because someone still has to pay for it.

That is fantastic, I am happy to see them exercise their first amendment rights.
I have a solution for them. They can join the Army National Guard and obtain that free education!

Then people like us would have to serve next to the whiny little snots. They would probably want the DI's to bring them breakfast in bed.

The standards have been changed in parenting, we don't want our children to suffer like we did so what do we do, we spoil them and they then assume the whole world is entitled to tell them yes and give them stuff for free.

SSG Audwin Scott, I think the parents don't do anything to help their kids because in most families, both work, and the kids used be called "latch kids". I don't know if they still are. Either that or they just don't care? All of our four kids had jobs when not in school. If they saw something they wanted, they had to save their money or else they didn't get it. It paid off because they are self sufficient and have college degrees.

The only free things that I have ever received were @$$whippings from my single mother who raised me on her own. Come to think of it, I guess I earned those! Guess that means nothing is free. I say suck it up. Your not entitled to jack.
