What happens if someone fails the ACFT right before graduation but after completing the Forge? Do they get recycled or do they take the APFT?

My wife is graduating on thursday from fort jackson. She has completed the forge but did not complete the acft. The leg tucks were the problem prior tk the forge, now its the leg tuck and ball throw. The question is: being this close to graduation (5 days) will they recycle her or have her do the afpt (she can pass that one)?

Most likely it depends on her chain of command to see which one they will give her.
We have this issue so many times. ACFT vs the APFT.
ACFT is a grad requirement now for Basic. APFT is being familiarized at the moment (at least for my unit).
my own personal experience dealing with trainees who can’t pass ACFT. Now given that she has not passed the ACFT so many times now, they may give her the APFT. However, it has to be waived by the BN or the BDE CDR. If it gets approved she’s good. If not then she most likely have to go to FTU to improve her ACFT. If she fails that one again then depending on that unit it’s either kicked out or given another chance.
Best of luck.

Two COAs: They will either recycle her to go thru everything all over to ensure she passes the ACFT or they keep her status as is and PRT her until she CAN pass the ACFT. No one here on RP can specifically answer this except her and/or her BCT cadre.

First, ty for responding.
Second, i understand and figured as such. Just wasnt sure with: a) it being a new program and b) it being so close to graduation.

Ok so there are some depenecies on this subject. What event(s) did she fail. If It was just one such as leg tuck, they will likely waiver her due to the numbers game. The fact she went on FORGE means that she will be pushed trough. However it ultimately depends on the BN CDR. I just graduated BCT at Ft. Jackson Dec 5. This is what they did for alot of PT failures unless they failed 2 or more then the were sent back to 120th for pt camp until she passes PT test.
