There are few unwritten rules of etiquette I learned going through the ranks. Here are a few below, what others do you know of or that we should follow?
1. If it's raining when pulling up to base, turn off your wipers so you don't spray the guard
2. If it's dark pulling up to the gate, dim your lights coming to the gate to not blind the guard
3. If you need to show your ID (BX,chow hall,gate) have it ready

Not sure if this falls into that category, but I still open the doors for others before proceeding into the building myself.

Another one is letting active duty in uniform proceed in line first when I am in civilian attire. This may be at the BX, commissary, MPF, or anywhere else.
