I am on orders to be an AC/RC instructor. I have no idea what that consists of other than training nation gaurd units. I guess I have two questions.
1. Can anyone with prior experience in this let me know what it consists of
2. Will this impact my chances of making MSG in the future in a positive or negative way?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Go to hrc.army.mil and look up AC/RC
I assure you it is a qualifying position. It is challenging and rewarding. The bar is pretty high. Like any specialty assignment it is all about how well you perform. I have had and seen many E7’s over the years be selected for E8 coming out of or shortly after these type assignments. It is a great opportunity to share your expertise in environments where it is truly needed. Thank you for your service.
