I just got out of AIT and got to my unit and there isnt very much of our equipment. My NCOs all say different stuff about deployments, it varies from sitting around to some saying they went out on patrols. Im just looking to get a greater understanding of the MOS.

So, on deployment it all depends on the equipment being used. Sometimes theres work and sometimes theres not. In my case there was work, lads were being used and they needed servicing but when that was done I worked with fellow MOS's on their equipment(my choice) instead of getting put on details with little gain. Cross train and become an asset to your unit instead of just waiting on your mos specific equipment it helps everyone out and you gain more knowledge.

You’ll be in a motorpool the whole deployment you’ll deploy quicker if your in a bct instead of a sustainment bde
