Announced yesterday by Chief Master Sergeant of the Space Force Roger A. Towberman, the Space Force now has its own enlisted rank insignia to go along with their new rank system.

The previous rank insignia utilized was that of the Air Force, with exception to CMSSF Towberman who was the first Guardian to have his own semi-unique enlisted rank insignia.

The Space Force previously announced that it would utilize the OCP camouflage uniform utilized by the Army and the Air Force as a duty uniform but is still working on a dress uniform and hopes to announce the final designs by December 2021.

The Space Force, along with the Navy has not yet designed a rank insignia for the position of Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (SEAC).

P.S. follow up question.

Will RallyPoint add the Space Force and these rank insignias now that they have released something official?

It looks like the Air Force had a love child with the Navy. Not gonna lie, it's a bit of an eye sore

Maybe we will get CPT Kirk then.

That said, honestly it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be from some of the early concepts they put out. Could be better, but definitely not their worst option.

I assume the new insignia will carry over to OCPs as well? I can see some confusion with the E1-E4 rank insignia especially, at least until everyone learns them. The horizontal bars look a lot like partner nations' officer ranks.

So I guess the whole title of "Guardian" is out? I suppose someone caught on to the "Guardians of The Galaxy" comparison and the amount of joke memes it would generate.

How did you get to that conclusion? They’re still called Guardians. That’s not a rank, it’s their term for their Service Members.
