“America is the land of opportunity,” “There is only one race, the human race” and “I believe the most qualified person should get the job” are among a long list of alleged microaggressions faculty leaders of the University of California system have been instructed not to say.

Okay, now that my knee-jerk reaction is out of the way. Isn't all of this backwards from what people like Dr Martin Luther King Jr wanted? You tell someone that anyone can achieve greatness if they work hard, and that is racist? I am blown away.

When you think about it this way it makes a little more sense. The same political party that wanted to silence and stop MLK is the same that is pushing this.

Now the dont try to silence MLK but they do want to distort and pervert his dream. They claim him, and his movement as their own but he was a Republican and 80% of Congressional Democrats voted against the American Civil Liberties Act. 100% of Congressional Republicans voted for the ACLA as well as being the party of Lincoln and Eisenhower two giants in the making strides in the right direction. The current doctrine of a welfare state that can't be escaped and abortions is of questionable motivation in my mind.

Are you really surprised that this is coming from the Land of Fruits and Nuts, aka California?

You can't use the word fruit like that otherwise someone will brand you a subconscious homophobe

It's these re-educators that are having a massive effect on the cancer our society has now.
I personnaly believe that anyone who wants to restrict speech and basically be the thought police should be deported to Siberia or taken out and shot. (Wanting someone to use a little tact is not the same thing)

SSG Aaron Walker, exactly, but this would be a large undertaking. This is the logical extension of political correctness - driven to the point of insanity (which is present even in lesser examples).
