What do you think about the optional wear of undershirts?

So I just changed my profile picture from my Dress Blue Alphas to Service Charlies and noticed that in this picture, I am not wearing an undershirt. Under the Marine Corps Order P1020.34G, it is optional to wear an olive drab shirt underneath the utility uniform and also a white shirt to include a v-neck for short sleeve khaki shirts. The only time it is required is for formations for uniformity purposes or if your unit commander orders it for the unit.
I go back and forth with undershirts, some people never wear one, most people do, and some like myself go back and forth.
What do you think about it's optional wear and appearance?
I posted pictures for comparison that has our current Commandant and Sergeant Major not wearing undershirts among Marines who are.

Clearly I'm not a Marine, though, like a lot of soldiers, I admire many aspects of the Corps. I think the t-shirtless look is the bomb! But only if you're rocking some Magnum quality chest hair. This also happens to be the look the Spanish Foreign Legion strives for. ;)

SSgt Fair, Its nice to see a Marine post a thread here in RP, its also interesting learning something I never knew about the Marine Corps. I'm not a Marine, but by looking at the pictures, a white undershirt with the service Charlie look better then without a undershirt. I look forward to hear what other Marines think.

I personally think the white undershirt looks more professional. I hate the no undershirt look.

I agree. I think the undershirt LOOKS better, although I wouldn't want to wear it personally.
