What do you do when the Military had incorrect or no record of your service? I have been asked this multiple times.

Go to the Hall of records located in Saint Luis Mo. Another option is to visit your local VFW, American Legion or your Veteran Service Officer (VSO). You have nothing? Find a L.E.S. statement and go through finance as well. you got paid to some financial account showing direct deposit...

Tough question. I'm assuming you have ETS'ed from the Army by this point. If it were me, I would try a recruiting office. They would know how to get those things corrected

Ewwww. Okay. Check with the VA and a recruiting office. The rest of the guys/gals are all saying to fill out that specific form

Did the soldier ever go down range to theater operations? If so, VA is the easiest option.

This type of transactions should be process through your S1 office, who should provide you a final outcome of the transaction. You should also be available to check the status of your updated transaction on you ERB/OMPF file or reflected on your LES if is a finance related transaction.

That's what your DD-214 is for. The 214 is proof positive and the 149 is files for correction..

SPC Melonnie Covington-Pryor - the SM needs to contact ST. Louis, Sept of records. If he is GUARD, then he needs to contact his state. If he has ever been to the VA, they should have records.

When I applied for his DD214 that should have listed 6 years active duty he got a print out of less than 90 days guard. This was not even a DD214 just a letter basically.
