I am trying to transfer from the Reserves into Active Dury. I know the first step in this process is get a DD 368 signed by the first General in my CoC. I have been told it is an easier process while I am Mobilized, so I know I do t have a lot of time to make this happen. So my question is what should I include in my package for this request. I have found a DA 160r form (application for active duty), which I am including. Is there anything else such as a memorandum for record stating my intention as well as previous experience? Any input would be helpful as well as any tips. I know my package has to go through a unique path since my next higher command BDE is an Active Duty unit then it has
To go to the 85th Reserve Command.

You can't just start a request for active duty request on your own. You need to talk to a career counselor or your branch manager to advise you on your options. Not all branches are looking for reserve soldiers to transfer to active duty. Good luck! I hope this helps!

I've talked to both so far and neither had clear answered other than they could not move forward without the 368. I already have the form filled out, not it just has to be submitted up my CoC. Also I am willing to re-branch.

This website is the Call to Active Duty Program but it's only for specific branches who are educationally qualified in the ranks they are searching for. I can say that there are other ways but hopefully an officer that has gone through it recently would be more qualified to answer. I'll keep searching though! https://www.hrc.army.mil/OPMD/Call%20to%20Active%20Duty%20Program
